Winter...
Blows in around the first of November in McCall and brings an abundance of snow for Alpine, Nordic and Backcountry Skiing, Snowmobiling, Snowshoeing, and Sledding/Tubing.
- Brundage Mountain Resort - A full service Alpine Ski Resort with 5 lifts and over 1500 acres of groomed terrain and 19,000 acres of backcountry snocat terrain. Average annual snowfall 320 inches -- known for having The Best Snow in Idaho go to Brundage Mountain.
- Little Ski Hill - Home to several olympian skiers, the Little Ski Hill is located 3 miles north of downtown McCall on highway 55. The small but action-packed facility has an alpine hill served by a T-bar providing 405 vertical feet of terrain and is the only lighted ski and snowboard hill in the area. - Snowmobiling - SnoWest magazine named McCall and surrounding area one of the top 10 best places to snowmobile in the Northwest. The area offers 500 miles of groomed snowmobile trails that take you through snow-capped mountain ranges, scenic valleys and icy lakes, linking to millions of acres of wilderness. - Nordic Skiing - Home to the 2008 Masters Worldcup Nordic Races, McCall has some of the best nordic trails in the Northwest. The valley has four different nordic ski areas which include, Little Bear Basin, Ponderosa Park, Jug Mountain Ranch, and the McCall Activity Barn. - Tubing/Sledding - There are numerous hills to sled on in McCall. Just grab a sled from one of the local shops and find a hill that suits your speed and distance. For those of you that would prefer a ride up the hill, McCall has a tubing hill with four runs located just outside of town at the McCall Activity Barn.
Spring...
Blooming season begins in May and runs through June with a foray of beautiful wildflowers and evergreens. For fishing enthusiasts, the catch couldn't be better in Spring in the nearby rivers. Thrill seekers can catch a ride on Class 5 rapids on the Salmon River and Snake River, which is a short distance from McCall in Riggins and Hells Canyon. McCall also offers great Spring skiing through mid April.

- Golf - McCall has five golf courses within a 10 mile radius of downtown. On average the courses open in late May and close mid October, offering golfers 5 months of play. - Water Sports - Payette Lake and Cascase Lake offer water sports from June through September.
